NSMBA Trail Academy

NSMBA Trail Academy

Presented by NSMBA and NOCS

Do you want to add to your knowledge on trail building and looking to be more involved in future NOCS trail project?  The NSMBA is coming to vernon to present their Trailbuilder Academy program again this June 6 and 7.

The aim of the program is education of the NOCS community of the accepted standard of trail construction in British Columbia and particularly BC Parks.  Building off our  knowledge from our IMBA visit a couple years ago and the NSMBA visit last season this will be an excellent opportunity for our community to improve the quality of our trail knowledge and skills.

Please join NOCS and NSMBA for a day of learning and then applying skills in the field on June 6 and 7.  Classroom location TBA but the trail projects are planned to be near Sovereign XC ski area of Silver Star Provincal park where BC Parks has recently approved several trail projects.

Please RSVP by email with NSMBA in the Subject to okcycling@gmail.com to secure your spot and indicate if you have a favourite trail tool you will be bringing.

Space will be limited to around 30 participants in an effort to make the field portion of the day educational as well.

Please Note!

1. You will have to be a NOCS member to attend this event.

2. Please come prepared for trail work after lunch.  Food, water, appropriate clothing, gloves, your favourite tool (NOCS has an assortment of tools but let us know if you are bringing yours)
